LATEST REPORT FROM RENEWI

The warm weather is upon us and fly season is in full swing. Renewi are pleased to say we have not received any fly complaints for 21 months now. The new fly management regime and plan are working well.

We will continue to monitor this during the summer months and take action as necessary to keep the numbers low.

The site has some large projects taking place to replace the Biofilters in the processing plant for the next month. These are done periodically to control odour from the process.

Once complete Renewi will be undertaking a large project in conjunction with our insurers to significantly improve and upgrade the facility’s fire safety equipment within the plant. This project will run until early next year.

The team have continued to work with the Fairview Estate throughout this time to manage any concerns and regular fly liaison meetings will continue this coming year.

We will continue to keep you informed of progress with any projects on site, in the meantime if you would like to contact us, you can do so on 01708 634540, or by email to Lee.Goodfellow@renewi.com

Safety Audit & Reactive Maintenance – Phase 7

Following on from the previous phases of maintenance and safety works, the Estate Management team and their maintenance contractor Roadtechs, are in consultation about the next phase(s) of works.

Roadtechs have undertaken a walk-through of the Estate, documenting and categorising any future works in terms of priorities.

Previous works have been very successful, as overall, the Fairview Industrial Park is in good condition, with very few safety, critical or urgent repairs being required.

A meeting will shortly be held to review the survey information provided by Roadtechs to determine the next phase(s) of work.

Upgrade/Expansion of Existing IP CCTV/ANPR

The Management of the Fairview Industrial Park continue to invest in crime reduction initiatives to reduce even further the existing low crime rate experienced on the Estate.

The Estate CCTV system is not only utilised for crime detection and anti social behaviour deterrence, but also to assist with the overall management of the Estate and of course, operates in full compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018.

The current system consists of 14 static/domes cameras, installed at strategic, vulnerable locations throughout the Estate.  In addition to this, there are 9 cameras installed at the security gatehouse that record all vehicle movement in and out of the Estate, and cover the entrance/ exit barriers.

The current system has been insitu for a considerable length of time and support and maintenance are becoming increasingly difficulty. During this time technology has moved on considerably and we are, therefore considering upgrading the existing Estate CCTV.  The proposed upgrade would include  installing ANPR’s at the security gatehouse and adding several cameras to provide better coverage of all the Estate roads.

Match funding is always sought from the London Riverside BID for all projects
