LATEST REPORT FROM RENEWI

Recent months we have seen unusually mild weather across the region and our fly management has continued into the colder months to ensure fly counts have remained low.

In the past few months we have been working hard to improve the sites facilities available to tackle any incidents of fire. The project is now well under way and progressing well. We hope to have this completed around Easter time next year.

The site will be fully operational during the Christmas period as the Boroughs will be collecting waste throughout the festive period, with planned closures on some of the bank holidays as the Boroughs will be running some services during this time.

Lastly, as we say goodbye to 2022 I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a healthy and Happy New Year on behalf of everyone at Renewi to all of you and your loved ones.

We will continue to keep you informed of progress with any projects on site, in the meantime if you would like to contact us, you can do so on 01708 634540, or by email to Lee.Goodfellow@renewi.com

Phase 7 – Safety, Reactive and Preventative Maintenance works

The first stage of the Phase 7 safety and maintenance works have been completed, approximately 50% of the works, and attention is now being focused on completing the latter stages of the works before the end of the winter period.

Recent proposals have been disrupted by periods of inclement weather but Roadtechs and the Estate Management are working closely together to take any opportunities that arise to complete the works as quickly and safely as practicable.

The completion of the works will be the seventh successful programme of works in four years and demonstrates the dedication of all involved to maintain the smooth, safe and long-term sustainability of the Fairview Industrial Park’s infrastructure.

From all at Roadtechs may we take this opportunity to thank all businesses for your patience and understanding throughout these works and wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year.

SECURITY GATEHOUSE DEFIBRILLATOR

Our thanks go out again to the British Heart Foundation, and the London Riverside BID for their 50% match grant funding towards a community defibrillator.

Together We Can Save Lives

As you are probably aware the BID successfully secured grant funding towards a defibrillator some time ago, which is now installed at the Security Gatehouse on the Fairview Industrial Park, with thanks to the British Heart Foundation.

Since installation, the defibrillator has been called out by businesses or the emergency services; but thankfully it has not been needed and all individuals concerned are well, however it is there for peace of mind.

Remember, that for a patient to have the best chance of surviving an out of hospital cardiac arrest, CPR and early defibrillation must be provided within the first 3-4 minutes of the cardiac arrest, followed by advanced life support within the first 8 minutes of the arrest.

If you ever need the defibrillator, it is located at the entrance to the Estate at the Security Gatehouse. Simply call the Security Projects team on 07528 968073. ALWAYS CALL 999 FIRST

Some BID members have also made their defibrillators available to other BID Members, including  ESS Safeforce Manor Way Business Centre, and CEME Centre Marsh Way.

UNFORTUNATELY, ON OCCASIONS THESE VEHICLES/VANS HAVE BEEN INVITED ONTO THE ESTATE BY BUSINESSES TO REMOVE RUBBISH ETC.

HOWEVER, WE WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT IF YOU CAN AVOID INVITING THESE INDIVIDUALS ONTO THE ESTATE.

In general, crime on the Estate appears to be under control.  All mobile patrol vehicles are fitted with on board cameras, on board tracking and panic buttons. The mobile patrol guards are fitted with body cameras

There is a WhatsApp group operated by the Estate’s Security, and the Estate’s Management team that allows a prompt response when dealing with any incidents or issues.
